Basic Manners Foundations
Our starter course where your pup will learn the foundation building block skills necessary for basic manners training and you’ll learn how to easily and clearly communicate with your dog in order to teach all sorts of behaviors in the future. This class is the prerequisite for most of our training courses.
- Principles of Learning & Training
- Attention/Eye Contact/Name Game
- Hand Targeting: Random/Front/Side/Duration
- Collar Grab/Gotcha
- Basic Positions: Sit, Down, Stand - with hand signals and verbal cues, practice distance, duration, distraction and a release word
Entry level class, Basic Manners is a prerequisite for all other Single Topic Courses. For ages 18 weeks and up. For pups under 14 weeks, please see Puppy Kindergarten, for pups 12-18 weeks see Puppy Training I.
This Live Online class will be conducted using Zoom and will require a high-speed internet connection and a computer or mobile device.
