Rayel Friesen

Rayel has lived with and loved dogs all of his life. He grew up with dogs his family adopted from shelters. He started his career as a dog handler at Citizen Canine, a pet hotel and daycare center. SIRIUS® Instructor Bobbi Durston, who at the time was a behavior evaluator at Citizen Canine, saw his natural abilities with dogs and took him on as an apprentice.

After an intense apprenticeship working under Bobbi and Nicole Gayles, Rayel currently teaches group classes for SIRIUS® and offers private training through his own company, Bark Knight Dog Training. He continues to learn by constantly attending lectures and seminars, as well as through teaching classes and his private consultations.

Rayel currently lives in Marin with his adopted dogs Fez, the Lhasa Apso (his first aggression case) and Madeline the Miniature Pincher mix (a rescue from the Benicia/Vallejo Humane Society).
